At our first point of contact, we ask that you complete a short questionnaire so we can gain an outline of your project, your expectations and what is important to you. After the questionnaire we’ll call you for a chat to discuss some more details and get to know you a little better.
From here we will organise a site visit with you.
Our site visit will involve walking through your proposed project together to get a physical understanding of the space you hope to achieve and share our thoughts. This is also where we can outline your must-haves and the obstacles you currently, or might face. We offer our expert advice on the spot with no commitment needed.
Next, we partner you with the right designer to bring your dream home to life. We will work closely with you and your designer during this process, offering advice and tips to ensure your project stays on scope and budget.
After the concept plans have been completed to your approval, the construction drawings will be completed. This stage involves the designer completing a full set of drawings ready for building consent application. An engineer and structural engineer may also be required; however, we will manage this. We can help with any selection or construction queries throughout this process.
Once you have received your completed plans, we will assemble a fixed-price proposal for your project. We price all our projects by going directly to all our sub-trades and suppliers for quotes. This ensures you receive a fair price for your project and won't have any surprise extra bills later on in the build.
Meanwhile, we send you to our trusted suppliers to make selections on items such as floor coverings, bathroom fittings & kitchen design. There’s no need to decide everything, though, the more selections you make at this point, the more accurately we can price your project.
Once we have completed the pricing proposal for your project, we will sit down with you and talk you through the proposal, ensuring you completely understand what is included and excluded in your build. We can adjust the scope and selections to meet your project's budget requirements at this stage. This is where you decide if you will work with us on your build, and if so, sign the proposal.
Once you have accepted our proposal, we will schedule your project and get started on your brand-new home. We will guide you through the building process, including access to our project management tool, where you can keep up to date with all progress.
Our brilliant team of Drinkrow builders and trusted sub-contractors will bring your home from where it exists on paper to life before your eyes. We focus on high-quality finishes, attention to detail, and good communication and transparency throughout the build, so you can rest assured that your future home is in good hands. We are committed to regular site visits and project updates throughout the build process.
The day has arrived, and you are able to move into your new home. In the days leading to the handover, we complete a defects walk-through with you to identify anything of concern requiring remediation. Handover day is a celebration of your building journey, and we do everything we can to make that moment as close to perfect as possible.
Once you are all moved in, we wait for a month so you can settle into your new home, and then we get in touch to check on your home. We want to identify any issue, small or large, and ensure you are confident and happy with your new house. We touch base with you again six and twelve months after the handoverfor the same check-up so you have a perfectly smooth transition into your new life.
